What’s more likely to occur is Cashman makes big changes to the Yankees’ analytics department and maybe their medical team, too.Aaron Boone probably is safe, too, because it would be hard to fault him for the 36 injured-list stints that sabotaged the Yankees’ season, two of them shelving Judge for a combined 52 games.over the Blue Jays.
It’s believed that Steinbrenner will make the call on Boone, who has one more season plus a club option for 2025 remaining on a three-year pact that he received in October 2021.“I’ve been here with Boonie since 2018 when he first came in,” Judge said. “Through the whole process, the biggest thing that stuck out to me about Aaron Boone is his commitment to the players, on a daily basis how he sticks up for us.
Boone has fallen short on guiding the Yankees to a title, but he’s had a lot of regular-season success. His .585 winning percentage ranks second among active skippers, trailing only the Dodgers’ Dave Roberts, and before this season his teams were 5-for-5 qualifying for the playoffs. All-time, his winning percentage is 15th best and trails only one Yankee, Joe McCarthy.
