During the Yankees’ seven-game losing streak, Stanton has two hits in 21 at-bats with 12 strikeouts.
Stanton’s splits are more proof that the guy with prodigious power has lost a step in his bat speed, seemingly up there guessing. When Stanton came over to the Yankees from the Marlins in 2018, he was batting .331 against four-seam fastballs. This season, that number is down by over 100 points .
