The Yankees pitcher will not be part of the World Baseball Classic after all.
The Yankees left-hander is off of Team USA’s roster for the WBC after recently tweaking his hamstring, he said Monday at the team’s player development complex.
Cortes, who was among a handful of Yankees who were present at the team’s player development complex on Monday, before the injury. Instead, the Yankees’ WBC count is now down to three with Gleyber Torres , Jonathan Loaisiga and Kyle Higashioka all still set to leave spring training to participate in the event.Robert Sabo for the NY Post
