Snow frosted Yosemite's peaks and fresh powder dusted the valley floor.
" snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning, near Yosemite. While the conditions were severe at times and mountain travel was hindered by road closures and chain control, JP Kalb, a forecaster with the National Weather Service's Hanford office, called the storm a typical cold front.
