A new image from You season 4 offers a new glimpse into Joe Goldberg's professor persona along with a new character. You, which is adapted from the Caroline Kepnes novel series of the same name, originally premiered on Lifetime in 2018 and was canceled before it being picked up by Netflix for season 2 in 2019.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Entertainment Weekly shared a new glimpse of the upcoming You season 4 as part of their 2023 preview. The first-look image shows Joe in full professor get-up sitting at a bar with a new character named Adam, played by The White Lotus' Lukas Gage.
While seasons 1 and 2 hewed closely to the original source material, season 3 only took scant details from the third novel You Love Me. Although there is a fourth novel titled For You and Only You coming in April 2023, that comes a full two months after the release of You season 4 part 1 on February 9, so it won't be able to provide much sense of the future of the surviving characters.
It has at least been officially confirmed that Marienne will be returning, though the extreme change of scenery will likely impact the dynamic of this season of You considerably. It seems that one of the only reasons that her character would follow Joe to England would be to hunt him down and expose him, unless an unfortunate coincidence is what throws them into one another's paths.
