We can finally start to get a look at the strides Zach Wilson has made in his second season.
With that news, the most important question surrounding the Jets can begin to get an answer.
Wilson was the second pick of last year's draft and had a rough rookie season. He missed time with injury last season too. The Jets added some pieces to play around Wilson, like receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall. The preseason injury, which happened when Wilson was scrambling, set everything back a bit. The Jets were careful with their young quarterback and Joe Flacco started three games. The Jets went 1-2 in those games, with the win being a wild comeback in the final two minutes against the Cleveland Browns.
Wilson didn't have a great rookie season, but he's a second-year quarterback with immense physical talent. There's still plenty of time for him to develop into a franchise quarterback for the Jets. New York needs to start to figure out what it has with Wilson, and that process will hopefully start on Sunday.
