State Auditor Andrew Sorrell says Allen has put in a lot of work to verify the people on Alabama’s voter rolls. In that same news release, Allen announced he had provided the list of registered voters with non-citizen identification numbers to the Office of Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. Earlier this month, an undocumented woman was charged in connection with passport and voting fraud in Alabama. According to the US Attorney's Office in The Northern District of Alabama, the woman used a false identity to vote in the 2016 and 2020 primary and general elections. Marshall says there is a process for cases like these. There are investigations that take place sometimes with federal partners or individually.
