Anthony Mackie breaks down the practical driving stunts that went into his Peacock series Twisted Metal, inspired by the video game of the same name.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Twisted Metal star Anthony Mackie has broken down how many practical driving effects went into the creation of the series. The show, which premiered its entire 10-episode season 1 on Peacock on July 27, is adapted from the video game series of the same name. Mackie stars as John Doe, a milkman with amnesia who is given a life-or-death mission in a post-apocalyptic world.

"We had a great group of drivers, and because of that a lot of the stuff we were able to do practically. I really got to drive 50 miles an hour around a mall with somebody chasing me. We really got to jump out of the front window and do all this crazy stuff, because our drivers were so talented. And some of the big stuff…when you see a car flying over a bridge, that wasn’t Anthony."
