The Sun Devils (1-0) face a stiff test on Saturday when they hit the road for the first time to face No. 12 Oklahoma State (1-0).

It was bad enough that the Arizona State Sun Devils lost a defensive starter before the first game even kicked off when Michael Matus went down with a torn ACL. Now with the first game in the books comes another injury as offensive lineman Joey Ramos will join Matus on the sideline. The Sun Devils face a stiff test on Saturday when they hit the road for the first time to face No. 12 Oklahoma State , a 58-44 winner over Central Michigan on Thursday.

Ramos, who transferred to ASU from Iowa State, did start Thursday’s game against Northern Arizona at right tackle in place of Des Holmes, a transfer from Penn State, who was out with an undisclosed injury. Ramos has been regarded as a valuable figure because he has the versatility to play any position on the line.

After the game Edwards said he didn't think the injury was serious. Monday he apologized for that comment, saying he should have got more information before making that declaration so soon after the game. Sophomore Isaia Glass will likely start at the position with junior Emmit Bohle at left tackle if Holmes is unable to play against the Cowboys. Edwards said Holmes is questionable for this week. Glass and Bohle split reps at left tackle until through the spring and in fall camp.
