The US open Ball Crew has nearly 1000 applicants, only 100 hopefuls will make the cut.
This week at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, over 400 young people are expected to partake in tryouts to become a Ball Crew at the U.S. Open.This week at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center—the home of the US Open, thousands of applicants will try their chance at becoming an official Ball Crew member--a competition that requires extreme concentration, speed, agility and hand-eye coordination.
Crew members dry the court after rain enters through the outer openings of the roof causing a delay in the second round match on Day Three of the 2021 US Open at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. Over 1000 applicants were whittled down and 400 tennis lovers are expected to partake in the tryouts—and of those—roughly 100 hopefuls will make the cut.
