WATCH LIVE: JBSA officials give update on fire at Camp Bullis.
The fire has spanned over an estimated 1,543 acres and as of around 10 p.m., Saturday, is 25% contained. The fire initially started around 2:30 p.m. after it ignited on a training range, JBSA officials said.
Residents north of Camp Bullis and in the Oak Ridge and Georg Oaks neighborhoods are under a mandatory evacuation order as fire crews continue to battle the flames, according to JBSA officials. Firefighters will continue to fight the flames overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.
