Police on the scene in the 3500 block of Fairmount Avenue where 4 people were shot Wednesday. One of the men was in critical condition, police said.Four people were killed and eight others were wounded by gunfire in Philadelphia on Wednesday, including four victims in a quadruple shooting in Mantua.
Moments before, police responded to a double homicide in Kensington. A 45-year-old man was shot seven times in the body and died at Temple University Hospital. A 44-year-old man was shot in the head and died at the scene. Gun violence across the city Wednesday also included a quadruple shooting in Mantua. At about 7 p.m., two women and two men were shot on 3500 block of Fairmount Avenue and brought to Penn Presbyterian, police said. Three were in stable condition, but one of the men was in critical condition.
A 18-year-old man was shot once in each foot on West Rockland Street just before 5 p.m. He was in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.
