Former home of Mexican Manhattan restaurant in downtown San Antonio acquired by local developers
A row of River Walk buildings including the longtime home of Mexican Manhattan, a restaurant that closed in 2020 after 62 years in business, has been acquired by local developers.
Aside from the shuttered Mexican Manhattan space, other tenants include convenience and Western wear stores. The sale price was unknown, but deed records indicate the group borrowed $6 million for the purchase. The Bexar Appraisal District valued the buildings at $3.9 million last year.Paul and Kevin Covey were not available to answer questions about their plans for the buildings.
