1950s: Penn Station
Originally constructed in 1903, Penn Station once stood a marvelous and breath taking building, that could rival the architectural design of Grand Central Station. However, in 1962 plans to demolish the beloved landmark in order to build Madison Square Garden emerged. Despite protests, it was knocked down a year later. In it's place is the subterranean–type station that exists today.A 1950's wedding takes place at the alter of New York's landmark Cathedral, Saint Patrick's.
