Jay Mauldin is an upstanding citizen that hails from the California desert, but often finds himself in the Pacific Northwest, or the Carolinas. With two degrees in ancient history, Jay is sufficiently eccentric, having worked everything from museums to presidential libraries, and living off-grid in the American West.
While his favorite food varies from tacos to lasagna , his hobbies include outdoor adventures, ancient languages, and modern mountain poetry. Jay also enjoys playing bagpipes , collecting briar pipes, tabletop games, and actually interacting with human beings without a screen as an intermediary. Jay currently lives in the Raleigh/Durham area.Jay has written and contributed to everything from Department of Defense projects, to detetctive ficton, to articles on outdoor survival.
As well, Jay comes from a screenwriting family, and has been involved in several independent features both a production assistant, extra, and script collaborator.Jay's favorite media are anything relating to ancient history, horror comedy, and absurdist humor. Jay's favorite movie can fluctuate by day, but today it's Evil Dead 2, and tomorrow it may be The Shawshank Redemption.
