Man dead after fall from ramp to Sam Houston Parkway in northeast Houston
A man died early Friday shortly after falling from a ramp to the Sam Houston Parkway in northeast Houston.
Police around 3 a.m. received a call about a crash near N. Sam Houston Parkway E and State Highway 59, finding a man dead at the scene, Metro Video Services reported.Investigators said it appears a man was driving from the Eastex Freeway onto the ramp toward the Sam Houston Parkway when he struck a wall, according to the Houston Police Department. The man got out of his car and either fell or jumped trying to get away from traffic. He fell 50 feet to the ground, where he was pronounced dead.
