CLARKSVILLE, TN – The photo tells the tale. Oakley isn’t thrilled with the garb she’s wearing – tiny pants, a shirt, goggles and booties – all designed to keep her and other service animals safe in Austin Peay State University’s chemistry labs. Nonetheless, Oakley – as shown in the photo – tolerates the gear. All to protect Baum.
“As she gets to upper-division, she will have much more dangerous chemicals, and her dog will be right there, and the dog might get the chemical on her body or her eyes or her feet,” she added.
