Police officers found the man shot after they heard gunfire early Thursday, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.

Police officers heard gunfire just before 3 a.m. and found Dominick Santiago shot multiple times in the driver’s seat of an SUV on the 500 block of Linden Avenue, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and city Police Chief John Fine.

Santiago was rushed to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he died around 5:30 a.m., police and the prosecutor said in a statement. There were no arrests reported and investigators did not comment on a possible motive for the slaying.
