Eric Carl, 37, of New Cumberland; Carly Taylor-Robinson, 26, of Harrisburg; and Darun Alexander, 33, of Harrisburg, died after hitting a tree on Mountain Road in Lower Paxton, off Interstate 81 exit 72A. Troopers tried to pull their car over for “violations” around 1:35 a.m. near Derry and Kittatinny streets in Harrisburg City, state police said. A chase ensued when the car did not pull over, but state police said it ended when troopers lost sight of the car near Interstate 81 in Lower Paxton.State police have not released additional details, including how fast both vehicles were traveling before the crash. It is also unclear what violations troopers were trying to pull the car over for.
