Martin and Pablo Langesfeld will line up at the 2022 Miami Marathon to honor Nicole and summon strength for the challenges ahead.
. Pablo keeps the medal and a picture of the three of them post-race in his office. Nicky ran the half marathon again last year, but Martin was traveling and Pablo sat out because of Achilles problems, though he and Sadovnic went to meet her at the finish.So when Martin saw an advertisement for the race this year, he had a fleeting thought of forwarding it to his sister, asking her if they should register again.
“It was devastating,” she said. “I’m a person who’s very close to my family, and I have two sisters. I can’t imagine that happening.”
