Snow, drenching rain, winds up to 50 mph, coastal flooding in N.J. winter storm forecast

The National Weather Service has issued multiple watches and advisories for coastal flooding along the Jersey Shore.

Forecasters remained concerned for the potential of icy roads from the wintry mix of precipitation and wet, heavy snowfall.

Wind gusts along the Jersey Shore could hit 50 mph. High tide early Saturday is expected to be the peak for flooding. The National Weather Service has issued multiple watches and advisories, with timing that follows those tides:Monmouth, Middlesex, Ocean and southeastern Burlington counties - 3 a.m.. to 11 a.m. SaturdayCoastal flood advisory:Coastal flood advisory:Atlantic and Cape May counties - 6 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.Eastern Monmouth, coastal Atlantic and coastal Ocean counties - 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m.
