The CFPB, established in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, was designed to rein in abusive consumer financial practices by banks and other private institutions.Both Bernie Sanders' and Elizabeth Warren's home states are holding their primaries today. Vermont, which Sanders represents, is almost certain to go to the self-proclaimed democratic socialist senator. The state has 16 delegates up for grabs.
