Nearly 10,000 cases of apple juice sold in Walmart stores across the U.S. have been recalled, after the juice was found to contain potentially harmful levels of inorganic arsenic, according to theupgraded the recall of “Great Value” brand Apple Juice to Class II, after the initial announcement of a voluntary recall on August 15.
The recall applies to Great Value brand apple juice sold in six-packs of eight-ounce bottles. The manufacturer voluntarily recalled the bottles after discovering levels of inorganic arsenic that exceeded industry standards , according to the FDA.National Institutes of Health
