Updated:JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville woman is facing multiple charges after aWednesday left a man dead and another man with life-threatening injuries on the city's Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded to a residence on Abelia Road at approximately 4:49 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a call from a woman who told police two people were shot andUpon arrival, first responders located an unharmed woman and two men shot inside the residence. Officers located Williams outside the residence. It's unclear if the woman was the person who originally called police to report she was taken hostage.
In a separate room, another man was found on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department pronounced the man dead at the scene. An unidentified witness told police that at 8 p.m. on Oct. 17, both the victims and Williams were at the residence while she was cooking dinner.
