A man working on the roof of a Jersey City building fell four stories Monday morning and is in critical condition, city officials said. The man, who was no identified, was at a construction site at 664 Ocean Ave. when he fell from the roof to the basement at 10:45 a.m., city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.

The Jersey City Fire Department removed him from the basement and he was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center with injuries to the head and right arm, Wallace-Scalcione said.
