Alabama State Troopers identified the victims as Troy S. Patterson, 55, of Seminary, Miss., and his passenger, 53-year-old Eva Easterling, also of Mississippi.
Senior Troper Cody Farrar said Patterson was driving a Ford Ranger that was hit by a Chevrolet Suburban driven by 52-year-old Jason M. Moore of Oklahoma.Patterson and Easterling were both pronounced dead on the scene.
A passenger of the Suburban, 44-year-old William Corbell of Arkansas, was seriously injured and airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
