According to the provincial crop report for the period from July 11 to Monday, “the drought conditions in the southwest and west-central regions were not abated by the trace amount of moisture or localized thundershowers.”The most rain received this week was reported near the community of Old Wives in southwestern Saskatchewan, which had 33 mm.decrease in topsoil moistureNow, only 15 per cent of cropland topsoil has adequate moisture; 57 per cent is short, and 28 per cent is very short.
