Mayor Ron Nirenburg joined Allred on Saturday, August 17 at the Hilton Riverwalk at 2 pm., announcing his endorsement for Allred. Senator Ted Cruz was in Dallas, Allred's hometown, to celebrate the grand opening of his DFW Campaign Headquarters. Cruz discussed the upcoming Keep Texas, Texas tour, which started this weekend.
He was joined by Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare, Texas State Representative Nate Schatzline, and Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French at 2 pm. Cruz talked about Allred saying" It's been 52 days since Colin Allred has done a press conference." I actually think they sent out an extraction team to pull him out in the basement. There is a reason Colin Allred doesn't do press conferences..... because when you do them people ask you questions. And when your entire campaign is built on running away from your disastrous record. Being asked questions is a problem.
