New Brockton’s Riley Simmons scored from second base on a Blake Peterson infield single, beating the throw home, to give the Gamecocks an 11-10 walk-off win over Northside Methodist in
Staff Reports high school baseball action Friday afternoon.
Both teams scored one each in the fifth and sixth before New Brockton won in the bottom of the seventh. Hunter Bedsole, the third of three Gamecock pitchers, was the winning pitcher, working a perfect seventh inning. Tristen Drinkard had an RBI single, Cade Edwards had a double and Parks Snyder had a single for the hits.
Cash Harrell, Grady Patterson, Nolan Brown and Jase Stanley all had two hits for the Bobcats with Harrell driving in three runs and both Patterson and Brown one run each. Nelson added a double and two runs batted in and Nelson Hall added a hit and RBI.
